Track time in Fluentime
Log your billable time against clients and projects as usual. No changes to your workflow.
Export to GrandTotal
Open Fluentime → Settings → Plugins → GrandTotal. Choose a date range and click Export.
Create invoices in GrandTotal
Open GrandTotal and use the Fluentime plugin to browse and invoice your exported time entries.
One-time plugin setup
Install the Fluentime plugin in GrandTotal once to enable the integration. It takes under a minute.
Open Fluentime Settings
Go to Settings → Plugins → GrandTotal, then click "Reveal Plugin in Finder".
Install the plugin in GrandTotal
In GrandTotal, open Preferences → Plugins and drag the Fluentime.grandtotalplugin file into the list.
Grant Full Disk Access
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access and enable access for GrandTotal.
Why Full Disk Access?
GrandTotal plugins run in GrandTotal's own sandbox. Full Disk Access lets the plugin read the time entry files that Fluentime writes to your Mac — securely, without any network connection.
No account required
The integration works entirely on your Mac. Fluentime writes JSON files to a local folder; GrandTotal reads them. No servers, no API keys, no sign-in.
Exporting time entries
After setup, exporting takes just a few seconds. Open the export sheet any time you're ready to invoice.

Every tracked entry assigned to a project
Only entries with an assigned project are exported. Hourly rates are pulled from your project or client settings in Fluentime and included in the export so GrandTotal can calculate totals automatically.
